Use case

School leader John is passionate about moving his school into the future. He has seen how digital innovations can significantly enhance the learning experience and is keen to harness this potential. With this in mind, he is planning to join a school development program designed to enhance his school’s digital innovation capabilities.

In preparation, John seeks guidance from a mentor, Sarah, who has successfully implemented digital innovation. John organizes a team of dedicated teachers and together, they undertake the SELFIE assessment tool to understand the current state of technology usage in their school.

Together, they begin to understand their strengths, such as their advanced use of interactive whiteboards, and their development needs, such as a lack of training for certain software tools that could individualize student learning. They decide to improve the school’s capacity to use digital technology to enhance inclusive education, particularly through improving teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
